About Me
I’m currently 24 and live in Seoul, South Korea. These are some of my facts.
-I don’t like cats. Though sometimes pictures and videos of them make me laugh.
-I love lists and planners. I’ve used a planner (not mandated by school) since I was 13.
-I love trying new food and going out to eat. I’m not very interested in learning to cook elaborate meals myself; I’d rather someone else do it for me. I do enjoy baking.
-Red nail polish and lipstick are essential.
-I was really, really, really shy for almost the first half of my life.
-I had pet gerbils from age 8 till age 22.
-I drive a stick, only learned how last year. It was SO difficult, but now it’s SO much fun!
-I love cities and can’t imagine ever living in a small town.
-I have a phobia of vomit. I also fear singing in front of anyone.
-My feet are weird and ugly. They were nice in high school but got exponentially worse after I moved to Austin and started walking around everywhere. My second toe is much longer.
-I majored in Broadcast Journalism. I LOVE news.
-I also majored in Spanish. People always ask me if I can speak it. I could speak if I needed to. I get nervous talking in front of native speakers. The fluency improves the longer I talk. I’m much better at writing in Spanish.
-Mad Men is the perfect TV show.
-I’m obsessive about keeping my kitchen clean.
-Barcelona, Spain is my favorite place (so far).
-I got stitches on my face two different different times when I was a child, luckily the scars aren’t that visible.
-I was also burned by a pot of pasta sauce when I was 1 year old. There are still scars on my legs from the third degree burns. The injury miraculously healed enough the day before I was supposed to get a skin graft.
-I rarely wear the color white.
-I was obsessed with the Beatles during high school and know tons of useless trivia about them, especially John Lennon.
-I love tetris and most tetris-type games.
-My sweet tooth is going away and it’s really weird.
-I love interviewing people and researching stuff.
-Elaine Benes, Lisa Simpson and Daria are my favorite fictional characters.
-I think I’m the only Melinda Merola on Facebook.
-I’m going gray at a rate much faster than most people my age.
-I hate the font Papyrus.
-I like eating dinner late at night.
